Diana mini B&W

Here I am again!!! I am not sure if you remember a few months back i said i have B&W film roll, which needed to be developed and stuff! and i had given it in a studio in Chennai and i dint collect so long! well finally i did!!

The pictures are not that great! they are actually bit crappy!!! So not really happy with it!!! I am not sure if the problem is with the way i took the pictures or a bit of an issue with the way they developed it or what!
I had told the studio guy not to you know tweak anything as he said it wont come very clearly blah blah blah!!!  anyways i hope to use my other roll and maybe get it developed at a place where they actually know to develop B&W [these are the times i wish i knew how to develop a film roll!! maybe one fine day i ll have my own dark room ;)]
and yeah the decent looking pictures are the ones of my family and we all look bit scary in the pic hehehe!! ;)
Here's the slide show of the pictures

Iphone Photo Application Part 2

Here comes the second part of the iphone photography applications!!!
First one "Crazy Booth" asusual part of apps you have the option of uploading your own picture from the album or take one! once you go the main screen you see 4 pages. 1 being funfair: it has popart, heat cam, sepia, B&W and obama which is the only interesting one in this page as this gives kinda of a reddish blue poster look! . 2 also being funfair: ripple, twirl,  checkers, twin, mirror.. .nothing really interesting actually for the mirror effect!!  3 is carzy:  its got xray, alien, puzzle and peephole... puzzle is nice as it kinda jigsaw puzzles your picture except for the fact you cannot move anything ;) peephole kinda gives you a fish eye effect. last one is the curious: its got UV, darkroom and few other effect.... On the whole this app is not that great and to add to the negative points its slow!!!

second one: "Light Meter" this is not an editing app... this gives you information on the "aperture f", "ISO"  and "shutter speed" for SLR camera's. You can lock one of the aspect to find the appropriate ones.... This is an useful app for SLR beginners like me, who can experiment and learn the appropriate aspects of the SLR. :)

Third: "Super Camera: All in 1" this app is just the name for me!!! personally i think the other apps have better effects and the only effect which the other ones i havent noticed is the "HDR"which is actually pretty nice in this app!!! other than that it has the usual sepia, b&w, soft light, emboss, sketch and sharpen. It also has a bunch of frames and an anti shake option to take the pictures... I cannot complain coz this is a Lite version, if i want more out of this app...yes i should purchase a full version of it....

Fourth: "Format 126" This app is one of the oldest app in my iphone ;) it is actually pretty interesting, Its got a range of Lomo kind of effects.... The effects it has are the "Colour plus", which ofcourse emphasizes the colours in the picture and brightens it. "Pola colour" it kinda fades the colour in the picture. "Mono Plus", "Mono"and "Mono Hi" they convert the picture into black & white with varying shades of the black, white and gray. "Colour Hint" provides a mix of the colour aswell as the monotone!!!! and finally "Lofi" i really like this effect as it has a mix of Lomo an colour plus effect... it really brings out the colour in the picture. It also has the option of vignetting, border and square frame....

Fifth: "My Film Lite" this is actually an awesome app for ppl who likes the whole idea in the slr cameras where you can choose one particular point in a picture to be focussed and the rest blurred.... This shows the focus point really good... and more over you can ever choose the development colour aswell the shape of the focus points. So thumbs up for this app!!!

Last but not the least in this part is the "Pic Grunger" this app... converts your pictures into a kinda of grunge effect. The Lite version has 4 effects 1)Aged, the name says it all. 2) Bleech Spill- again it has a grunge effect on the picture with a spill like effect on the corners 3) Scruffed and 4) Streaked they both give the same kind of grunge feel to the photograph. You also have the option of changing the styles in each effect, strength of the effect and finally the adding a border to the photograph.

Here is the link to the link to the pictures....

There is one more part to this topic.... Just broke it into parts as i dont want to have tooooo many apps in one post.....
Till then

First Trial of my Diana mini Part 2

This is the part 2 of my first trial with my Diana mini, and i am already in love with it ;) and hoping to get few of more cousins of the Diana family hehehe :)
before i could upload the pictures, i will thank my friends for being my lab rats hehe :)
and here are the rest of the pictures from the best lot!!!
I loved the multi exposure of the first 4 pictures below

This Picture turned out pretty awesome, i mean people who see it as a picture might not understand. As you can see there's a chuch and a sign board in the pictures, these are actually on the opposite side of a road. :D :D

I think this is a pretty cute picture hehehe ;)

Now thats my face, when it comes to taking my picture i either panic or laugh tooo much!!!! Soon i am going to try out some self portrait kind of pictures and hopefully get over the fear of being photographed alone hehehe!!!

First Batch of pictures from my Diana mini

Here's are the pictures which i was supposed to upload long back.
These are the first trial pictures of my first lomography camera, Diana mini. The film used is 35 mm Lomography colour negative 800 iso and the film was developed at Jessops - Birmingham, as i was not sure where to get the film developed and printed. The pictures came out quite well except for the ones i used colour filter gel with the flash, i assume since they print in the manual machines which adjusts the colour when printing the pictures it might have done its part of damaging the colour. Now that i have found 2 places where they specialize in lomography printing, i will try it next time.

The reaason why i fell in love with the lomograpghy is as you can see it gives it a very dinstinct dark edges like a vignetting effect.

These ones are taken with the rectangular frame.

I was kinda trying to take a self portrait, i need to try it out with a tripod. ;)

This one is the one with a flash and red colour gel filter, as you can see its not exactly how it is supposed to be.

A bit of multi exposure.

The next batch of pictures from my first trial will be uploaded sooon ;)
